About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On a mission to see the world because for now I've got the time to kill

ABOUT ME

I majored in Communication Studies with minors in ninja combat and blowing bubbles... No but really I am just graduating from the University of Montevallo and I'm trying to do some sight-seeing before I head out west in a few months. Pretty laid back, but I do enjoy some riveting convo every now and then. I work better with questions, so if this doesn't tell you anything feel free to ask!

PHILOSOPHY

We feel hunger, well there is food. We feel tired, well there is sleep. We feel lonely, well there are people. We feel a need for something more, so shouldn't it exist?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well as of right now I don't, but I'd like to... Seeing places and meeting people sounds cool, as long as its the right place with the right people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think the only couchsurfing experience I have is crashing at a friend's apartment after I moved off of campus... But that's partly why I'm here I suppose.

Interests

I like to run when I can and working at ole Starbucks has made me fond of coffee. Really I just like to hang out and talk with people, but I enjoy talking about stuff that really matters. Sports are fun too... oh and I read, but I don't guess that's a popular pastime.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movie of all time ever is Braveheart. Other than that I typically watch epic movies like LOTR, Dark Knight trilogy, Gladiator, the Godfather, etc. I can listen to a lot of music but I really like the mellow acoustic vibe. Something like the Avett Brothers, the Lumineers, City and Colour, and even Mumford. LOTR also tops my book list, and I enjoy books of that genre and era. Not a fan of contemporary literature (ie Twilight, Hunger Games) because personally I think the older guys had more content.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well I haven't eaten a banana in a month... that's pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well if you want to talk about the epistemological nature of communication I have a degree in that. I've studied a lot about the nature of human existence from the theological, communicative, philosophical, and practical perspectives. I know that can bore a lot of people so I don't bring it up often but I do think there is value in understanding why we do the things that we do. Now I would like to learn some practical skills like how to work on my car...
