ABOUT ME
Hobbies include anything outdoors, and if there's water involved, even better... I love to camp and hike and ride horses. Sailing, canoeing and kayaking are long-time passions: any day on a boat is a good day. Music is probably my most intense interest: I love going to shows - especially outdoors - and there are not many bands/artists that I wouldn't be up for seeing.
I am smart, focused, and up for anything
Born in Marin County, grew up East Coast, raised primarily by a single mother. This provided much varied life experience, and developed appreciation for varying viewpoints. many different environments and locales built keen interest in the power and processing of perception and judgment.
travel all over the U.S. and points abroad widens perspective and stokes my passion for experiential learning. I am addicted to relevant information – specifically its conversion to knowledge and eventual use/application. Never short on opinions, nor shy to speak my mind, I am in hot pursuit of greater understanding.
Experience has been my greatest teacher. I believe opinions are the sum of the bearer’s experience. lessons and insights lurk in every thoughtful discussion.
I fled an excellent job that entailed 70-80 hour weeks in search of daily pursuits that better support my happiness, and my capacity to spread it.
PHILOSOPHY
There is only now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
my experience thus far has been amazing... surfed several times, and look forward to hosting as soon as I have a bit more space to offer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
since college I was primarily a hotel guy, but material trappings were both cause and symptom of my diminished happiness in recent years so my mind - and options - are totally open at this point.
