About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm currently taking some time off to do some long-term traveling before committing to joining the Peace Corps. I don't have a rigid itinerary but would like to see South-east Asia, parts of the middle east, and north Africa during my trip. I spent the last year saving money working as a line cook and baker, and now am ready to do some exploring for a year.

ABOUT ME

Easygoing college graduate and aspiring gourmet.

PHILOSOPHY

I try not to take myself or life too seriously.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Wes Anderson and Studio Ghibli ("Grand Budapest Hotel" is one of my favorites, but "Pom Poko" and "Spirited Away" are up there. Honorary mention to "Ratatouille".

Music: Hip-hop and EDM are my go-to's but love some good Indie/folk if the mood is right.

Books: Historical fiction, fantasy, and classical literature. Anything from Doestoevsky to George R. Martin. The last book I read was "Blood Meridian" by Cormac Mccarthy. Bloody indeed!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sky diving was neat. Expensive hobby though.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always happy to share my experiences with anyone interested, but anyone looking to learn more about cooking need only ask! I love trying to introduce people to new foods and dishes, and sharing my modest knowledge of food history and culture with anyone who's interested. I can also speak some Italian, though not quite so useful outside of Italy!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and am more than willing to cook with/for any hosts.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
