Hey guys,
I'm Chrissi, 30, and I love to travel. That's why I took a break from my job as a primary school teacher and I'm currently exploring different parts of Europe - volunteering on farms, couchsurfing and travelling.
I love to meet people from all around the world and listen to their stories :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't used CS during the last years, but while I was still studying I loved to host and to surf- and I've met sooo many awesome people through CS. I know how glad one could be to find a nice place to sleep and a wonderful host. I hope to be such a host again when I return home AND to stay with many more great people, now, that I'm finally on the road again. The best stories about a place are definitely told by locals :)

Interests

I most enjoy being outdoors, doing whatever activity there is, learning (and sometimes failing - but still improving) on the way.
Sports are one of my favourite things to do. I like all kind of winter sports like skiing, ice skating and playing ice hockey. So far I tried some surfing in Spain, wakeboarding in Australia and some wind surfing. At home I regularly go hiking and biking, I play volleyball and go horse-riding.
I really enjoy cooking sessions, a good pub quiz and games evenings and I am always up for a good laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow, that's a tough decision :D
One of the most spectacular experiences was to lie on a street in the middle of nowhere and watching the dancing northern lights in Iceland. And another adventure was walking 114 km of the Camino de Santiago with two friends.
But the 10 months I spent in Australia have been packed with amazing things: wakesurfing, snorkelling, fighting with spiders, leeches and mozzies, living on the road.
Even now, when volunteering on different farms I collect plenty of memories, worth remembering.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My friends told me, I make the best apple cake... ;D
I'm always up for playing some funny board and card games (I usually carry one or two with me) and would love to teach you some German words.
Moreover, I hope to share some funny, unforgettable moments and stories with you that you usually only get while travelling :)
