I really like the idea about Couchsurfing and i love to have contact to locals, maybe get some cool tips or even start some things together like going out or explore the city. Unfortunately i cant host by my own - but its a thing still on my to do list!!!

I was at a lot of couchsurfers in South France and Spain. Always a great experience - sometimes more good sometimes more bad but worth it.
