About Me
CURRENT MISSION
More peace in the world.
ABOUT ME
I am a playful, optimistic sort. I find people and life fascinating. I'm usually the one holding everyone up on a hike because I'm picking up and inspecting a bug or plant. I'm very laid back generally but get riled about certain issues so you may find me at protests and demonstrations against war! I love a good debate and chat about the meaning of life as well as painting, yoga, writing and poetry.
I love travelling and challenging my preconceptions about places. There is so much beauty to be stumbled upon in unexpected places.
PHILOSOPHY
Love wins.
Live dangerously.
Trust yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I lived in Singapore for a year which gave me ample chance to explore SE Asia and couchsurf with some amazing people there who kindly welcomed me in and shared their lives and friends with me. I really enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories and couchsurfing is a great way to do just that.
Interests
I love seeing live performances, whether its music, theatre or comedy. I always have about 3 or 4 books on the go which makes for a heavy handbag but always lots to think about. I like learning about human nature, philosophy and spirituality as you realise people have always grappled with the same questions since civilisation began. I also love horse riding, Muay Thai kickboxing, kayaking and running.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in Jerusalem in the Old City.
Visited Burma and got welcomed in by amazingly friendly and hospitable Buddhist monks.
Travelled on a motorcycle down the coast of Vietnam.
Stroked tigers and rode elephants in Thailand.
Was serenaded by my favourite jazz band in New Orleans for my birthday.
White water rafting and surfing in Peru.
Finding amazing old books in random coffee shops.
Having debates in pubs with good wine and good company.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will one day learn to play the ukulele. I love learning about anything and everything. I have an uncanny ability to remember random often useless facts which makes me a worthy pub quiz member.
I have never been beaten in a thumb war in my life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you how to bake the best lemon drizzle cake of your life.
I can share stories, a listening ear and genuine interest in what you have to say.
I do have a knack for good CV writing/job applications should you so desire.
