Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love learning about countries "off the grid" and through local experiences. My distaste for traveling by the book came when I was in London, seeing Stonehenge and in Athens when visiting the Parthenon. Seeing the iconic building covered in scaffolding and littered with tourists taking the same picture was not a fulfilling sight.

There's something special about traveling to a country and being able to experience it as an original location with stories of your own.
