HELLO! I'm originally from Akron, OH, a mid-sized city just south of Cleveland. I recently spent two years backpacking around Asia while working my design job. Since then, I've continued working/living a nomadic lifestyle around the US. I'm following the sunshine, settling down in new places from a week to 4 months at a time.

I update my location as I move, and I host whenever my space allows for it.

I'm seriously considering a move to Vietnam, but in the meantime, the current dream is to custom-convert a Sprinter van into an off-grid RV to explore more of the US and Canada.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I try to create positive experiences and forge new and meaningful connections wherever I go. I'm always looking for ways to make travel more real and personal. CS allows me to meet unique people from all around the world, share moments, and learn from them.

Most of all, I think this is an awesome, diverse, open community and I look forward to discovering the unexpected with everyone.

I have long dry spells where I don't watch any shows or movies, then I binge entire series on Netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My only phobia is an unexplainable fear of sunken ships. It might sound silly, but I'm proud of myself for facing my fear while snorkeling over WWII shipwrecks in the Philippines. My heart is pounding just thinking about it.

I found out that I'm not alone and this fear has a name: Submechanophobia. There are dozens of us... dozens!
