I am not from Berlin, never planned to come and live in Berlin but now enjoy living here since 2010.

The opportunity to meet people from all over the world and learning about other countries, ideas/concepts, languages, persons is really tempting and I'd like to make use of it more (that's a reason why I joined CS).

I grew up in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in a small town in the Mecklenburger Seenplatte (Mecklenburg Lakeland) which was definitely for me as a child the best place to be and I had a great childhood (thanks to my lovely parents who gave me lots of freedom but took always good care of me).

Still I am feeling not very much different from being a child who wants to explore the world and discover new things. I am game for everything.

Never stop questioning. Never consider anything for unquestionable or unalterable truth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly to meet other people different parts of Berlin, different cities, or even different countries. I'm interested of others cultures, languages, way of living. Always I am keen on learning about new ideas, concepts, motives. Like to be inspired :)

There are many things I can get into easily.
Some of the things I like and do regularly (more or less) are hiking, traveling, sports (running, (semi)marathon, cycling, bouldering), Salsa, cooking, plants, photography and filming, watching movies, spending time w/ my family, friends, playing board games, listening to music, concerts, festivals...

I'm open to almost every kind of music from acoustic over classical music to electronic music...
To my alltime favorites belong definitely "Seconds out" album by Genesis.. everything from Cat Stevens, Queen and Florence + The Machine!

Movies I consider as a must see: Jurassic Park; The Shawshank Redemption; Indiana Jones I-III (not IV); Back To The Future I-III; Green Mile....

I like popular sciences books and science fiction books; i.e. Brave New World; Ender's Game; Asimov's Foundation; Ray Bradbury's books... to be continued :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing a road trip through Morocco and spending some nights in the Sahara far away from the next town. The night sky is amazing there.

Teach, Learn, Share

There are some nice spots in Berlin which I could recommend you and join you going there.
I like to improve my language skills, refresh my Spanish and Russian, learn some French. I speak English but can learn always to get better. Of course I speak natively German; so if you like to learn some or practice I can be a patient partner.
