I'm a 24 year old from Northern California that recently graduated from college and am out exploring the world! I am trilingual, I speak English, Norwegian, and French and I love learning new languages. I am currently part of a program that sends native English speakers to different regions in France to help them teach English. I am stationed in Southern France as of right now, and will be here until the end of April/beginning of May. I'm a very easy-going person that loves to laugh and have fun, I'm very sociable, and I always enjoy a good conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As you can imagine, being an assistant teacher in France isn't the most highly paid profession in the world. In fact, it is quite the opposite. However, I have been given this incredible opportunity to spend seven months abroad and I intend to experience as much as I possibly can with my time here, even while on a very restricted budget. I am on Couchsurfing because I am looking to explore as many places as possible, meet as many new people as possible, make new friends and connections wherever I go, see all sorts of lifestyles and walks of life, experience as much as I can, and just genuinely enjoy life to the fullest, all while on a limited income and Couchsurfing is an excellent resource to do all of that with. Couchsurfing is the perfect tool for me to use in order to maximize my time abroad. However, I do live with a host-family here in France, which is why I can't host anyone at my place... Sorry!

Music, Movies, and Books

I can generally find something to like in just about every genre of music. The only kinds of music that I can't really get into are Heavy Metal and Country. Everything else is fine by me! I also love all sorts of movies, whether it be action, comedy, drama, foreign films, it's all good! Here are some of my favorites: Anchorman (huge Will Ferrel fan), Good Will Hunting, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are both awesome, Superbad, Les Intouchables, Snatch, Catch Me If You Can, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Harry Potter, etc. I don't read as much as I should so I don't really have many books to mention that I'm into right now.

More than happy to teach others how to speak the languages I speak, I play a little guitar and piano that I'd be more than willing to teach as well. I'd love to learn a new language too. I also enjoy cooking so I'm up for both teaching and learning recipes of all kinds!
