About Me
Recently finished my last degree in California, and moved back to Norway.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been studying in the U.S. for almost ten years, and having moved from Maine to Washington State, to Arizona, and finally to California, I need to do some traveling in Europe. Norway is just too damn cold for large parts of the year, so I might be looking to relocate to somewhere you can actually see the sun after 3pm in winter. I signed up for Couchsurfing way back, in 2008 or something when I lived in Seattle, but forgot my username and password after being inactive for a few years so I made a new account by connecting through Facebook. Pretty handy when you start getting old and forgetting things!
Interests
Sailing, golfing, movies, music, travelling, reading, snowboarding, cars, paintball, food, soccer, treasure hunting!
Music, Movies, and Books
I like pretty much all types of music except for metal, country, and gospel. Some of the stuff that's been in my playlist lately include: Various house/chillout artists, Daughter, Massive Attack, Is Tropical, The Weeknd, Alex Murdoch, Kavinsky, Lana Del Rey, Oasis, Biggie, The Decemberists, The Walkmen, Tom Waits, BANKS, Armin van Buuren, Pixies, VHS Dreams, Ben Howard, Chet Faker, Drake, Flume, Gregory Alan Isakov, Max Richter, John Mayer, Joe Purdy, M83.
TV shows: Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, Sopranos, The Americans, Narcos, Silicon Valley, Vikings. Pretty much most of the stuff produced by HBO and AMC. Netflix have some decent ones as well.
I like most types of movies, but haven't seen a lot of horror movies in a while. It usually ends up being too absurd, campy, or plain gory. Psychological thrillers like The Game and Memento, are far more interesting.
The last books I read were The Martian, The picture of Dorian Grey, Alice in Wonderland, and Daytripper.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not sure if it was amazing or plain stupid, but I drove from Seattle to Phoenix non stop without sleeping... three times. It was pretty interesting to drive through rain in Seattle, snow in the mountains of Oregon, plains of northern California, into the desert of Arizona. A great 24 hour drive!
