Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just booked a one way flight to Oslo and planning to spend time exploring Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Czech, and maybe some others. Will be traveling mostly solo and would be great to have some people to hang out with, learn some local secrets, and maybe save a few bucks on lodging.

Interests

I have too many interests to list. Life feels like a challenge to take in as much as possible before you die. I love the outdoors (camping, hiking, nature photography, etc.), art (both in museums and outside on the streets), food (there isn't much I won't try at least once), including cooking. As you might notice from my occupation, I love movies and TV and stories in general. My interests don't stop there, I'm fascinated with history and science and just about anything that can be known. I have a bit of knowledge on just about every subject and I love to share my knowledge and experience with others and learn from them in turn.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many... I read a lot of non-fiction, but there's something special about truly great literature's ability to reveal a view of the world impossible by any other means. Lolita might be my favorite novel.

Music: I mostly listen to things in the "(something)-rock" category. Folk Rock, Indie-Rock, Classic Rock, Punk Rock, Electronic Rock, etc. I also listen to some classical music. Not much American Country music, electronic/house, pop, rap, etc.

Movies: So many. Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind is high on my list. So is Terminator 2, Her, Rushmore, Goodfellas, The Conversation, Vertigo... I could go on and on. If you like to talk movies, so do I.
