Hello, I am Christian from Adelaide, South Australia. I am a person whose many interests and hobbies keep me very busy week to week. I am a very relational person and value the relationships in my life more than anything. I love to see those close to me succeed and enjoy life, but above all, I love to make them laugh, preferably with an observation of mine. Some of my closest friends are also my cousins. My partner Jess and I have been together for 11 years and love to travel, meet new people and experience as many cultures as possible.

I really appreciate all things vintage, be it music, furniture, appliances or vehicles. I am particularly enthusiastic about Italian cars and bikes. I play guitar and have done so since I was a boy. I love to cook and want to learn more. From some recent travel I have also developed a keen interest in skiing. I love to learn and I particularly enjoy reading books on philosophy and cosmology, but will from time to time pick up a crime fiction . My favourite tv show is Seinfeld. I'm not a huge movie buff but a good comedy or thriller will do me fine.

I have spent many years working within the construction industry and although building remain's a great passion of mine, I choose to focus on more important things in life. I have worked for a large multi national company as well as for smaller local companies, and enjoy how we use and value the spaces we create as an essential part of our lives.

Working has clearly afforded me the opportunity to travel to many countries and I aspire to reach South America next. San Francisco and Tokyo are probably the best cities I've traveled to, although I would like to experience more rural aspects of countries in my future travels. My parents were born in Italy and this connection has brought me there before and will continue to do so in the future. I love country side Italy and I am currently studying the language. Australia is beautiful and I love to camp and hike in natural environments.

In spite of everything, I couldn't live without the relationships in my life, the beach, music, and sharing a meal with those closest to me.

As a guest I'm polite, clean and very respectful. I am easy going and warm to people quite easily. I am genuine and hopefully that is enough to get a laugh or two out of you. My style of traveling is definitely spontaneous. I am usually one to inform myself before making decisions in my life but with travel I prefer to experience a sense of discovery and exploration. A life maxim of mine is to always love, be philanthropic where possible, continually seek answers, explore and laugh. Life is not always pure happiness but these are your vehicles towards it.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

My reason for joining couch surfing is simple; In every occasion that I have been lucky enough to home share, the experience has been richer and I in turn have have been richer for it, irrespective of the country I am in. My opinion and indeed the lens through which I observe and experience the country that I am in is enhanced as a result of the human connection brought about through home sharing with local people. There are many platforms that have made this possible for me in the past, but the spirt in which they first began seems to have been lost.
