About Me

I grew up in Northern Ireland living between the capital city Belfast and an urban area in the middle of the province called Craigavon, specifically Portadown. I've always loved traveling and I was fortunate enough to have a mum with the same passion. So, luckily growing up I got the opportunity to see a bit of the world and since then I have never wanted to stop. After leaving Ireland I decided to work abroad and see what else this world had to offer. I've spent time living in the Netherlands, England, New Zealand, Vietnam, and Thailand, and I plan to continue on the same path moving and seeing new places as I go. I love to travel anywhere and everywhere, seeing new things, eating new things, listening to new things, and most of all making new connections and friends. I also like action sports anything from kayaking to snowboarding and I'll try anything else in-between. I enjoy going to music festivals, arts and cultural events, and all sorts of interesting things that places and cities have to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been living and traveling abroad as much as possible since I was a teenager, and can't believe it has taken me so long to start using couch surfing. As the old saying goes 'better late than never, and I'm very happy to become a part of this Couchsurfing community. I hope to host as many people as possible when I'm settled in a comfortable place and when I'm on the move I hope I can meet, share and entertain as many people as my travels take me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a lover of most genres of music and have been to all kinds of festivals from Goa-trance to Open-air Jazz and most things in-between.
Indulging in movies is also something I greatly enjoy and again I'm open and love most genres, from wartime classics like Apocolypse Now to modern foreign masterpieces like Parasite.
I always want to read more but unfortunately, find myself never putting enough effort into reading as much as I'd like. The most recent book I finished was Yuval Noah Harari's "Sapiens", and I'm currently reading Matthew Walker's "Why We Sleep". I tend to read mainly non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing that I've done was walk the 'El Camino de Santiago' the world-famous pilgrimage mainly across Spain. It was such an experience, everything from the amazing people I met to the places I visited along the way. I would recommend it to anyone of any background, age group, or financial situation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been working, teaching English as a foreign language, and I'm always happy to share my language and communication skills with any non-native speakers.
