ONE YEAR trip around the Word started in June 2017!!!! :))

My girlfriend Claudia and me started our adventure in Brasil and stay in South- & Middle-America till end of October 2017.
We are looking forward to meet some couchsurfers exchange stories and drink some beer .. :)

About me..
I had the chance to apply for a sabbatical which means i can take one year off work :) we love traveling and thats what we do!
I am very open minded and always want to learn and see something new.
I love cooking all kinds of food! (I could eat a thai curry every day) :p

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a unique experience and a very nice way to meet new people in different places. I hope we can find some advice / fun / accomodation in some of our destinations by meeting local couchsurfers because there is no better way of discovering new places and new cultures than through the eyes of locals.

We had a nice group trip through Vietnam and Cambodia some years ago and already visited and hosted some of the other travellers in Canada and Hungary and would like to have similar experiences all over the world.

We would like to offer our couch after our Trip to some travellers who visit Vienna and i hope that we may see some again who we meet this year, i think we will have a guestroom then instead of the shared place in the living room.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read all kind of thrilling books especially when there are more in kind of serial. I mostly read in public transport in the way to / from work which lets me read some books a year :)

I enjoy all kind of movies but especially sci-fi for example movies by Christopher Nolan or Ridley Scott.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

...Canyoning in Austria, being the first for most of the high jumps and the 30m rope down in a waterwall.
...Bathing in a hot river after a long hike at night in Iceland

Teach, Learn, Share

Giving / getting some tips for upcoming travel destinations is always nice :)
I like to share knowledge about all kinds of stuff like natural sciences / technics / travel stories / Cooking.
At the moment we try to learn spanish (still bloody beginners) and i hope we can improve our language skills in south america.
