I'm a Journalist and Photographer living in Vienna, Austria. Originally I come from Salzburg, where I first started studying German Language and Literature. Although I did some stuff that was directly related to my study, I now work as a Journalist (believe me it mostly has nothing to do with it), being specialized on culture and politics, although I can - as I always tell my employers - write about everything, except sports.

Some people might say I'm enthusiastic about "old stuff". But it's not only a great interest in historical things, I would say it's much more the fascination and love for a slower and maybe more intellectual lifestyle. Making it more concrete: I not only love going to historic places, I also prefer listening to music on vinyl and watching old movies. In music the spectrum ranges from Pink Floyd and The Beatles and a lot of mostly forgotten 60's and 70's stuff back to the early days of Jazz and Blues. It's the same with movies: From Kubrick, Woody Allen and Hitchcock back to Chaplin and silent films from around the time of german expressionism. But of course that doesn't mean that I'm not also into more contemporary things, like movies by the Coen Brothers or Wes Anderson and music from Radiohead, Dr. Dog, Neil Cowley Trio and so on.

What else? I enjoy hiking, of course traveling, I'm really good at cooking vegetarian and vegan stuff and I'm a really really bad guitar and bass player.
