I am a 20 year old Cuban-American college student who will be studying abroad in Europe in the fall of 2016. While I have done a decent amount of traveling, this will be my first time in Europe, so I could not be more excited!! My two biggest hobbies and passions are football (the European kind) and backpacking in the outdoors. I love trying new foods whenever possible and am very outgoing and adventurous.

"This spontaneous solo trip to a Northern Atlantic Island cluster in the middle of my semester abroad proved to be the most memorable, introspective, educational experience that I have had to date. Couch surfing with a local named Rasmus, learning about the nation's history, and scrambling up numerous grassy, sheep-infested island mounds (not quite mountains but bigger than hills 😉) showed me the beauties of traveling alone and benefits of cross-cultural conversation. This joyous, and at times terrifying, trip inspired self-confidence and an avid appetite for adventure, and it was the type of experience that I would encourage anyone to have. Go explore and don't be afraid to do it alone! This is how you will create yourself and discover ways in which to give back to the world"
