Hi! My name is Christian Marshall and I'm a student at the University of California, San Diego! I'm studying Sociology with a minor in History.

I'm a pretty high energy person that doesn't tire out easily, but despite that, I am pretty laid back. My favorite pursuits are surfing, running, hiking, and rock climbing. If I'm feeling like taking it easy or staying indoors, I'm usually reading or watching history, science fiction, or fantasy, or listening to music.

I'll try nearly anything at least once, lol.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning a trip to Europe in 2017 and during my research, I learned about Couch Surfing. It sounds like a good way to actually get to know people from other countries, so here I am!

I figured I better get some experience with the website and hosting some people on my end to see what this is like before running off to Europe to try to sleep on someone's couch! XD

Beyond that, there's probably a lot of people passing through San Diego looking for a place to stay, so I should start trying to meet some of them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say that learning to surf is one amazing thing that I've done simply because it still amazes me every time that I go out there that I'm riding a wave. There's just nothing else like it.
