About Me

I finished school last summer and had the opportunity to do an amazing trip to India, Nepal and Southeast Asia. After that, I started studying philosophy in Bonn, which I enjoy very much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is probably one of the very best ways to travel around, get in touch with locals and other travellers - and to broaden one's own horizon!

Interests

I love to go trekking outside and I'm a passionate cyclist, no matter when and where and what weather there may be.
Apart from this, I love to write poetry and to read and discuss literature. And I'm just very much into languages.
After my trip to India, I like cooking even more (and of course I can't resist cookies!)
I play flute and alto saxophone (I'm a bit out of training though...)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: A lot of rock and metal, especially progressive stuff. But I'm always curious to discover new music. Oh and I love Bach & Beethoven!
Favourite bands: Tool, Radiohead, Haken, Soen, Agent Fresco, Port Noir, Leprous

Movies: Arrival, Fight Club; generally movies by Kubrick, Refn, Lynch and Wim Wenders

Books: a lot! I'm very inspired by Wolfgang Herrndorf (especially "Sand"), Fjodor Dostojewskij, Albert Camus, Hermann Hesse & Khaled Hosseini.
And I happen to read a lot of contemporary poetry. Favourite: Helm aus Phlox.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That was without any doubt the (more or less spontaneous) decision to travel through India for five month which has been in so many different and unpredictable ways an awesome and life-changing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

The road you've taken - surprisingly
Will never cease to set you free
'Cause what there is will complicate you,
Yet what you'll face will elevate you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, France, India, Ireland, Laos, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
