About Me
Hi,
I am a medical PhD-student from the beautiful student town Graz. I spent most of my days with university sports (Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee and more), meeting friends arround the city and studying. I am a very cheerful person, every day is the best day ever. I enjoy the little things in live and can enjoy every little thing that is given to me and happens to me. I am pretty much never sad, stressed or annoyed and always down to have a good time.
The thing I treasure most in live is traveling. I travelled all over the world. I used every single day off I have to experience another country. My favorite part while travelling is not the sights or activities but all the different cultures that I got the experience on my journey. I try to pick destination in a way where I always visit a completly new part of the world that I have never been before.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have started working now. The toughest part having a job for me is that my holidays are very limited now which cuts down my potential travels significantly. It is very difficult to travel multiple weeks or even months when you have a job. A two week trip in a different part of the world can be also very special and a great experience. But my favorite part has never been visiting the sights but experiencing the culture and the daily life of a country and I am not talking about the usual "cultural" things that the standard tourist does in a country like visiting a market or a local dance. I am talking about the daily life a local has in those countries. The hopes, worries, dreams and expectations of life of the daily people. you can't get that in a two week trip. I think couchsurfing would be a wonderful way to get such an experience even in small trips or even hosting at home.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music, films and books, I am looking for the same thing. Variety and quality. I can enjoy pretty much any genre if the film, book or music is good I will enjoy it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think like most people that travelled a lot it is pretty much impossible to come up with the "best" experience I have ever had. There are just sooooo many. The things that I usually enjoy most are the unexpected experiences of culture that you have in a country that you would have never thought of. For example when I stopped in the middle of the desert in Oman to enjoy the view and a local walked up to me, started talking to me. He ended up taking me to his little tiny village in the mountains of Oman with about 20 people where I spent two days. He showed me the mosque where he worked at, the gardens they were developing the nightly sit downs. Despite him hardly speaking english and him beeing from a culture and backround almost opposite of mine, we had the best conversations and connection. There was nothing extraordinary that happened in those two days but every little thing we did there was just so warm, generous, normal and special. I like those experiences the best.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't want to teach anyone anything.
My goal is to share and offer my experience, my culture and my background and what you do with that is up to you :). But I think it is a mistake to go into conversations with a different culture and try to convince them of something.
I am also looking to learn new things, see new things and experience new things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I can share with potential hosts is my culture, my cheerful attitude and my experiences travelling the world. I don't just want to be there and benefit from the generosity of the host. I want the host to also get something out of this experience and have a good time.
Unfortunately I am an awful cook so I can't provide for you that way but I am very willing to help out everywhere I can if there is something I can assist with.
I don't expect anything from the hosts. Every little thing, every little moment or conversations we have will be special to me.
