Hey! My name is Christian and it would be awesome to meet you! Without sounding cliche I think I'm pretty easy going, polite, sociable, considerate - friends say I'm like a golden retriever haha. I've worked in pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, tutoring, and lots and lots of volunteering through Workaway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people! I do loads of workaways which is usually on rural farms far from many people, so I reckoned couch surfing is more focused on city dwellers where there's always new stuff to do.

I am a huge fan of music, I studied music tech as a minor at university and loved it. My favourite genres range from soul to country to indie rock to pop to house music

I like A24 movies, and my favourite directors are Kubrick and Wes Anderson

I have a big nerdy side that's rarely seen, so books or games or anything academic or sciencey
I love football and rugby, although terrible at playing both. I'm not competitive but I enjoy most casual sports

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started travelling when I finished school aged 19, and I have only stopped to save up money for the next trip

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied ancient history, so can talk to you for days about Greeks and Romans and Sumerians etc.
I also know ancient Greek and Latin, which really helps me pick up most European languages
I can share my British culture & food with you! (not that we have much)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Humour, crazy historical / mythological tales, cultural exchange and conversation. I've worked as a bartender and chef so I can make some dishes and drinks! As a thank you for letting me say I'd love to buy you flowers, chocolate or some beers! 🍻
