About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to help transform the world into a wonderful place to live. Healthy environment, healthy society, healthy relationships and healthy mind.

ABOUT ME

I am a very easy going, accepting person, and at the same time very motivated to try to make positive change in my own life and the world. I am very much trying to create a life with my own creative design, rather than just doing what the herd does. Couch surfing is a part of that.

I spend a portion of every year working on a sustainability project in Thailand that I started called the Panya Project (www.panyaproject.org). Wonderful place that has taught me a lot.

PHILOSOPHY

We can design our own lives in very creative ways. When we do this we have a much higher chance of being deeply happy an fulfilled in this life-time.

Don't just follow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am interested in surfing on my travels, as well as offering a place for people to stay once I have a place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Informally couch surfed with lots of friends. Looking forward to doing much more of it!

When playing sports in college (Rugby primarily), the team would regularly couch surf at the other teams houses. After the game, there would be a celebration of sorts that ended in piles of rugby players sleeping all over the house. So glad we didn't stay in the Holiday Inn.

Music, Movies, and Books

I get my movies off of torrents, and enjoy the whole range.

Music- I dig all sorts of music, with the exception of heavy rap music and much of the modern country.

Currently reading Ken Wilber Philisophy stuff. I generally like to have a fiction, and a non fiction going at the same time.

Just downloaded the Hunger Games audio book for my long drive!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started the Panya Project in Northern Thailand www.panyaproject.org
It is a pretty incredible place that now runs as a volunteer run profit sharing education center.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach Permaculture. All about environmental design. Happy to share this with anyone. And I am always interested in learning from other people, what they do, and what works for them on their land and in their gardens.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to be able to share with you some of what I have learned about permaculture and generally about the process of moving toward what you want out of life.
I love to help people move toward fulfillment in their lives. This gives me the most meaning.

Countries I’ve Visited
