At the moment we can't host, because of a wonderful lot of work, which doesn't leave us any spare time.

ABOUT ME

Not so easy, to describe youself... I try to stay flexible while managing the work- und familylife and to give our son a feeling for the meaning of tolerance and hospitality, which I got to know in my childhood. I 'm curious to meet different people and learn about different cultures.

Because I get so many couchsurfing-requests (in summertime about 1/day), I decided to host no more frequently than twice/month and to make my selection criteria more strict. So I recommend to read my whole profile. When I notice you didn't, I won't host you. I made some really wonderfull couchsurfing-experiences and some which were completely superfluous. I try to limit further couchsurfing-experiences to the good ones.

WHAT I APPRECIATE ABOUT COUCHSURFING:

It is much more than a cheap way to travel, but a great chance to get in touch with people from different parts of the world and different cultures. I like to share thoughts, ideas and experiences, I like to learn something about other people and I wish to give my son the opportunity to experience hospitality from different sides.

I try to host people only when I have a little time to share.
I like to have at least one meal together, to have time for a good talk.
I give advices and tips what is worth to see and how to get there.
I borrow you a map of the town.

If you hope to find party-people-hosts, you should rather ask somebody else ;-)

HOW LONG YOU MAY STAY:

Sometimes I get requests for 10 nights. Sorry, that is too long, if I don't know people before. Asking for +/- two nights is absolutely ok, but if you want to stay longer, we have to become friends first. And all those who ask for 10 nights, show that they didn't read my profile. And they will be rejected at once.

COUCHSURFING-EXPERIENCES I WISH TO AVOID IN THE FUTURE:

Guests, who behave like in a hostel, come in the middle of the night and sleep until 4pm, so that I can't behave like I'm at home, because I'm to polite to disturb them.

Guests, who are not at all interested in the people who are so kind to host them for free.

Guests, who don't even read a profile before they send a request.

Guests, who think it is not necessary to tell at least a little bit about themself when they send a request.
If I wanted so desperately completely strangers in my home, I would invite one of the guys under the next bridge. He would probably be gratefull at least.

Guests who don't show up at all, without canceling.

It is really not necessary to send a request a second time, after I declined already. ((happened twice within the last few days)
