About Me
Hi :)
On Couchsurfing, I hope I can meet people from all around the world, either through staying at there places or letting them stay at mine. Me casa et su casa!
This sense of sharing, solidarity and cooperation is really exciting for me, and it's fun getting together and doing stuff with other people.
I also like to travel and to see new places and new perspectives. Especially, when meeting people from other countries and cultures, the world becomes alive and is more than mere dots on the map.
And last, but not least, I love to hear storys: happy, crazy, sad and funny ones. Hope to share my story with you, and I'm excited about your story.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, couchsurfing is meeting people. It is to stay right where they live and seeing their lives and perspectives, well at least a bit. They share a big part of their world, when sharing their place with others, who look interesting and like-minded to them. And that is, for me, far more than just giving them a place to stay and feel comfortable: it's giving solidarity and support for people from different places and cultures, it's hospitality and open mindedness. That's really cool and inspiring, and makes me look forward, who I'm gonna meet.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book are The Lord of the Rings, Gaviotas, The Story of Sir Ernest Shackleton, Debt: The last 5000 years and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.
For movies, I like to see superhero movies, but not too much. I guess, fantasy, sci- fi and historical topics are my favorites pretty much: Interstellar, Ip Man, Independence Day, Arrival, Inception, Prometheus (althoug a lot of people on the web don't like it, appearently^^), Avatar (Jame's Camerons and The Last Airbender), The Pirats of the Caribbeans are fun to watch, Reqiuem For A Dream rather not! And I rather go to the movies than watch a movie on tv or a computer.
Music: the 25th Anniversary of Musical of "Les Miserables", Blues, Rock'n'Roll, Jazz, Garage Rock, Grunge, and my girlfriend Sandra, when she sings. ^^
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
With an Viennese Hotelier, who is also a sociological researcher and activist, I worked on a project. We experimented with Online Learning Ressources, like Moodle or Moocs (Massive Open Online Course), where we invited college students and experts to try out and learn together through an Mooc!
We did not have that much reception and feedback as we wanted, but it was the first time I was engaged in a project, and I could learn a lot about Learning, Projects Reception and Management.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am really interested in the field of learning!
During my time in school, I really liked learning and you could probably say that I was a nerd. It was not, that I didn't have a social live, but I was really into books, learning and putting effort in my school work. I also enrolled at university in Vienna, Austria, but I dropped out after one and a half year, because I wanted to change the way I learned: for me and for the sake of learning. Even at university, the style of learning I experience was more of a "binge-learning", where you just try to remember stuff to pass the tests, but to forget it again afterwards.
For me, learning is really engaging into a certain field that inspires you, that moves something in you or which allows to express yourself fully. And it is a living process, totally connected with doing and experimenting with the learnt. That's what I'm working on, so that more people can get feel inspiration and relevance with what they are "learning".
What I Can Share with Hosts
The experiences I already had on my journeys, thoughts, ideas, jokes (maybe one or two) and music suggestions. Also an perspective on how it is to live in Vienna.
