My name is Christian but most people call me Chris. The beautiful lady in most of my photos is my wife Priscilla. We have two dogs; a German Shepherd named Ranger and a Maltese named Levi. We currently live in Northern Virginia!

I'm currently in the military so we move every 3 years or so. My wife does medical care for patients with special needs and elderly patients!

We both love the outdoors and love going to all the parks in our local area.

We joined couchsurfing to host others in out apartment near DC as well as learn about others countries, cultures, and travel experiences.

We would also love to surf and learn more about where we are staying, get a local perspective on things...oh and to make friends of course!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to make friends from all over and to help others who need a place to crash!

After working overseas with people from multiple countries, I want to open my home to others so I can learn about their countries and cultures.

The same goes for when we are surfing we'd love to learn about you, your city, and your culture!

Interests

My work schedule usually allows me to go out and do what I like! However, I'm not above binging Netflix on the couch all day or playing video games!

2020 put a dent in my motivation to get out as quarantine and work got me down but I'm getting back out! I've always been an avid hiker and love the outdoors. We live less than 20 min from multiple large parks so I love to run on the bike paths and trails. My wife and I lived in Texas for a few years and love shooting and hunting. If you're into or curious about those kind of things just let me know and we can plan a day at the range if time allows!

I've been experimenting in the kitchen for as long as I can remember. My love for food and cooking is endless. My kitchen is stocked to the brim with spices from all over! If you have a favorite recipe I'd love if you show me how to make it!

I also love the gym and running. Our apartment is located near some awesome running paths and has a nice small gym!

While living in Egypt I fell in love with diving and went almost every weekend. Unfortunately I haven't been in a few years but if you are interested in going we may be able to work something out!

My latest venture is winemaking! I have a few batches currently brewing and if your lucky one might be ready for you to taste!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge movie buff and love watching movies!

A few of my favorite directors are Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson and Ari Astor! Lately I've been really Into anything made by the production company A24. Everything they make is awesome!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had a bunch but I'd have to list my two favorites!

The first was living in Egypt and being able to travel all over the country and to Israel

The second would have to be the roadtrip me and my wife took from Virginia to California. We stopped in Texas to see family, Arizona to camp at the Grand Canyon, and New Mexico to see four corners. It was an amazing month on the road!
