Overview
About Me
I love to read, write, and learn. For me this requires more than just sitting at a desk, it requires going out and finding adventures. After all, I'm here to live life to its fullest!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I know I've read a good book when I see myself in its story; when that story challenges me in a way that is uncomfortable then rewarding and meaningful. I want to see the world like I read a good book: not from the comfort of a tourist van, but with the immersion that causes me to see my face in the faces of others. I think Couchsurfing is an amazing way to do just that!
Also, my older brother has done some Couchsurfing and has had nothing but amazing experiences from it. In fact, he met his wife through Couchsurfing!
Interests
At school I study literature, philosophy, biology, and chemistry.
I am an active person. I grew up surfing (on waves, not couches), and am now on my school's varsity rowing team. When I'm not on the water, I love hiking or running.
I love music and play lots of instruments (including guitar, banjo, cello, piano, saxophone).
I will always love a good story, and have found them in books, movies, conversations, and travel.
I plan on becoming a doctor after school.

What I Can Share with Hosts
From reading profiles, it seems that people sometimes misuse CS as a sort of free hostel at the expense of their host. For as much as it is worth, you have my word that I won't be this kind of couchsurfer. My motivation for couchsurfing is not the reduced price, but the amazing experience of meeting the host. In return I will willingly share with the host a few of the things most valuable to a young student like me: conversations about ideas, passions, and life.
