About Me

Hi there,

I live in an apartment in Copenhagen with my girlfriend, and we prefer hosting one person at the time. We can't promise to host always, since we're busy now and then.
Also, tell me a bit about yourself, what you can offer as a CS'er and what your purpose with using CS is.
I will only accept people with a picture of themselves. I consider these things very basic and as a part of the CS "concept" :)

But text me, and at least I can hopefully find time to show you around when I'm free!
If you just want to meet up, let me know and we'll figure it out :)

I am working as a research assistant in epidmeiology, I have a background in Sports and Health Sciences with focus on talent development, sports psychology and and exercise epidemiology.
I am a very down to earth guy, I love to travel and meeting new people, learning about new cultures and expanding my life perspective. Moreover, I love cooking and learning new things in the culinary world.
I love doing outdoor stuff and different kind of sports. Languages is a big interest, I already speak Danish, English and Spanish, and I'm learning French.

Feel free to contact me about anything!

Christian

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing is a fantastic and unique concept that allows us to meet the local people wherever we go, which I'd say is the best way to get to know a new place!
Also, I'm a very curios person who enjoy meeting people where they are and listen to their stories and understanding their culture.
And I would love to welcome people in my home and share the favorite parts my city and tell the stories that you (most likely) won't find in any book or on the internet.

Interests

I have done track and field for one year in Copenhagen, but stopped because of the training intensity and pressure was too much. Now I just like running, playing most kind of sports (with a ball), and skiing.
I went to a music school when I was younger, and I've played piano - so I have a passion for music.
I love to write, and I used to have both a training blog and a travel blog, however I do still write.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After a two month adventure in Honduras and El Salvador doing volunteer work and fun stuff, I traveled a month (starting out alone) across Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico - that was a bit crazy but the absolutely most amazing thing I've done so far. I dived in Utila and the Cenotes at Tulum, snorkeled with whalesharks and hiked volcanos in El Salvador and Guatemala (Antigua).
First time (alone) at a longer travel.

That was the first amazing travel I did - my second was in Norway, as a part of my Erasmus exchange. Here I did a lot of amazing hikes while studying at say one of the best university environments in the world. An astonishing country as well!

Since then I've visited a lot of places and met a bunch of amazing people - so far my top places are in Argentina, Southern France, Finland and Mexico.

Teach, Learn, Share

From my study I know a lot about exercising (especially running), and training for specific types of people. I did a course in "Training and Cancer" where I was taught making training sessions for cancer patients.
I have done a lot of coaching in running for Right to Movement e.g.

I love languages and culture, and I'm always open to exchange language - I have tried using the website "Italki", which is a really unique place to exchange languages :)

I have a very wide perspective. I want to listen to people, and understand people, because I believe there is a reason to everything.

I can try teach you Danish - (haven't succeeded in teaching anyone it yet though ;))

What I Can Share with Hosts

A roundtour in some of my favorite places in Cph, I can cook, and tell you stuff about sports science/epidemiology, teach you a bit of danish (or english perhaps), tell you about the danish society, culture and the political system, and in general good company :-)
