About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Memories of people and adventures that make me smile everytime I think of them

ABOUT ME

I live in Philadelphia with my husband Keith. We enjoy going out to restaurants and events - Philadelphia is full of places and activities. In the spring and summer, I love to spend time outside at the beach, at local festivals, walking, riding my bike, playing tennis or just sitting on a blanket at a park. In the winter, I love to go skiing.

I also love to travel and really enjoy meeting new people especially over a good meal, drinks and conversation. I also have family in Puerto Rico that I love to visit a few times a year. I love the beach- I'm an island girl! I like going snorkeling and surfing.

PHILOSOPHY

Courage is more exhilarating than fear and in the long run it is easier. We do not have to become heroes overnight. - Eleanor Roosevelt

Work to Live, Don't Live to Work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love CS!! I've met so many amazing people during my couchsurfing in Europe, and hosting people at my home in New Jersey!

I like to experience different cultures through celebrations, music, and FOOD! I have many more places to visit in my lifetime.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a Dad and son pair from Paris, a group of girls from Copenhagen, and two CS friends from Nice.

In Italy, I surfed in Firenze and Padova.

Shout out to Shif- my first ever Couchsurfing host- and the coolest Australian ever!!! She hosted me in Firenze and truly opened my eyes and spirit to the CS experience!

In France, I surfed in Paris, Nice and Marseille.

All my host have been amazing individuals! Their generosity was more than I could have ever anticiapted. They made my experiences in their cities and countries, unforgettable.

Interests

As all my CS friends know, I love to travel! I also love food and I enjoy dining out. Sushi, Thai, Caribbean, Italian are among my favorite cuisines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing volcano villarica in pucon, chile was amazing! Especially because I had never hiked anything like that before. It was very fulfilling when I reached the summit. And then even more fun getting to slide down.

Isla Verde beach in Puerto Rico is my favorite beach! Ive been going there since I was a child but it never gets old.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would then go back to the basics and remind people never to forget The GOLDEN rule:

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

It also seems an appropriate thing to teach, learn, and share on CS2.
