About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I'm from Aruba, and while I have traveled around I consider myself an island girl. You'll mostly find me typing behind my computer, feel free to pull me away.

PHILOSOPHY

I don´t know, try to do things that makes sense, and forgive yourself when you don´t but continue trying...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people sometimes, go to couchsurfing meetings sometimes and couchsurf sometimes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted and met surfers in Morocco, Thailand, Canada and Aruba and made good friends this way. I couchsurfed in Thailand, Jamaica and the US. I think it's a fun way to meet new people, in new places.

Interests

I am a vegetarian and love trying new foods, and foraging. I like going to the beach, and hiking. I also do yoga and dance sometimes. I talk too much about social and environmental problems and wish to find possible solutions.

Music, Movies, and Books

This type of thing changes all the time but I think two of my all time favorite books are V.S. Naipaul's Miguel Street and Blokken from F. Bordenwijk.

I like all types of music, but for periods I've been into Punk, Ska, Soca, Zouk and Folk.

I seem to enjoy mainstream indy movies like dramamex, endless sunshine of the spotless mind, birdman, new york synecdoche that kind of stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ask me about this in person

Teach, Learn, Share

My work is in community development using DIY design. We do various projects involving tinkering, designing and prototyping. So I can share what I know on these topics, including recycling, urban mining and farming, experimenting with Arduinos and other random things.
I would love teach, share and learn more on these topics. I also like to talk about social inequality sometimes.. if the mood's right.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food (vegetarian) and music, stories and conversations, parties and adventures, music, hugs and friendship
