Overview
About Me
I am a PhD student in Maternal and Child Health, focusing on hunger and nutrition among low-income children. I have a passion for helping people have access to healthy foods and live healthy, regardless of how much money they have or where they were born.
I have a lot of interests I like to pursue outside of public health, and I live in North Carolina with my husband Chris where we like to go hiking, go to gigs, or explore areas around us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a lot of friends who have been on couchsurfing and recommended it to me, so I decided to give it a try! I love meeting new people from all over.
Interests
I have a lot of outside interests though, including racing small sailboats with my Dad; we race our boat all across the East Coast of the United States. I also love music, particularly indie, Latin, hip-hop, and punk, and I love a good conversation about your favorite album.
I also am a former gymnast and I am the commentator for gymnastics events televised in the US.
I love cooking and trying new foods.
