About Me
Howdy!
Before you read about us please know that we have been in your shoes trying to find somewhere to stay and it is exhausting and frustrating, but that never stopped us from always being personal in messaging our hosts so with that being said read our profile and connect with us. We are allowing strangers into our home, but you do not have to be total strangers. We have met some great people during our travels while couchsurfing that we still stay in touch with. So you may enter our home as strangers but we hope you leave as friends :)
The movie Into The Wild was inspirational for us and made me believe what couchsurfing is really about - sharing your happiness and travels with others. "Happiness only real when shared".
I am 25, a pastry cook working my way up to become a pastry chef and own my own bakery. I married my best friend where we met in Las Vegas through our company MGM Resorts for an externship. His name is Adam and he is a front desk manager. So I cook and he does everything else...together we make a hospitality power couple!
As stated I am a pastry cook and Adam is a front desk manager therefore we do not have 9-5 jobs. We both work at the same hotel and our hours are always changing so we might not be able to spend time with you. If you are able to be flexible with your schedule to fit ours then that is fantastic and we cannot wait to welcome you!!! Our apartment complex has a shuttle bus for free that can take you to the nearby metro and from there DC Metro is your playground!
We both love to travel, and experienced couchsurfing for the first time when we traveling throughout Europe for 77 days. Six different people were generous to host us and gave us great experiences. Now we are home and want to give back to fellow couchsurfers and help them in anyway we can. So speaking of just being back home we recently moved from Dallas to the DC Metro area and are not affiliated with the area yet. With that being said we will not be very knowledgable locals yet but hey we can figure it all out together!
We both love soccer and have been playing since 5. I played at Texas A&M and am a Italy, Netherlands, USA and Juventus fan! Adam loves the same as me with the addition of Germany - melting pot over here :) We also love hockey, Adam more so than me and he is the biggest St. Louis Blues fan! (He is from St. Louis)
We love hiking and the outdoors so much so that we hiked the Piton mountains during our honeymoon! So far we have hiked at Zion National Park, Rocky Mountains National Park, fortress in Kotor Montenegro, 5 Seenweg in Zermatt Switzerland and more. Hiking Machu Picchu and the Fjords of Norway are on our bucket list! If there is somewhere near the DC metro area you would like to hike we would love to join you!
We are both foodies and love to dine out - casual and fine dining so we can always go find the next best restaurant or cook at home.
Last but not least if you really did read our profile then please head over to the home page and see further details that will be important in messaging us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In General:
To meet people from all over the world and see the way their culture is. I want to see the differences in each part of the world. To share and hear travel stories.
As a host:
We want to give back to fellow couchsurfers and help them in anyway we can just like our hosts helped us when we traveled.
As a couchsurfer:
The world is a very exciting place and seeing it with a local is so much better.
