I'm Christina! I was born and raised in the beautiful Salem, Oregon. My grandmother, originally from Austria, has been a huge influence in my life and was probably one of the biggest reasons that I want to travel. I grew up enjoying good old American road trips with my family, visiting national parks, landmarks, and famous cities. I graduated from Benedictine College in Kansas. During my college experience, I took a semester abroad in Florence, Italy, when I also visited many other Italian cities, Austria, Berlin, Budapest, and Ireland. I know my travels aren't ending now! They've just begun. My husband and I love exploring our home land here in the Pacific NW.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally joined so I could find a place to stay during a road trip back to school. Now I'd like to use this as an outlet to meet new people and hopefully host travelers myself, now that my husband and I have a couch to offer.

Interests

I studied music (vocal performance) and theology. I enjoy reading and watching movies. I am also outdoorsy and can't get enough of hiking. When I get the opportunity, I am also in to kayaking and canoeing. Homemaking activities like crocheting and cooking also have a very special place in my heart. If you have a piano in your home, I'll gladly play for you some of my own compositions!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to just about any music except rap. My favorite music genre is a mixture of folk, bluegrass, and alternative. I enjoy action films, romantic comedies, dramas, documentaries, fantasy, sci-fi... oh heck, I'll watch just about anything (except horror movies!). As for reading, I love classic literature, historical fiction, and spiritual reading.

I could teach your kids basic piano or guitar, and I can give anyone a classical voice lesson.
