I am young and restless, a foolish wanderer...
Really, I am a young, confused individual trying to figure out this path and direction my life wants to go in. My dream is to be a published, full-time writer and author, and live/work wherever I want. I love reading first, writing second, coffee third... I love running and biking, I love being outside in the summer, I love lakes and large bodies of water and I love green warmth, and I don't mind humidity or rainy days.
I grew up in Ohio, but for the last four years I have lived on the East, West, and South coasts of the US. I am mostly vegan, but I do eat chicken or turkey now and then so I can keep up higher activity levels. My health and nutrition is important to me, and so is my well-being.
I love the friends I have met and crossed paths with, all the places I've walked and lived. My current goals involve going back to school in the fall, maybe moving to do so, and getting back on track with my writing dreams. I have lived in New Orleans, Portland, New Jersey, and in Michigan, working on Mackinaw Island for two summers now. I love being out there on the road, long bus rides and staring out the window at changing scenery, and counting down to the destination...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here because of the travel bug and restless legs I've got. I believe strongly in traveling to new destinations to challenge your experiences and preconceptions, and expand your own understanding of the world, other peoples' way of life, their opinions, beliefs, and also the communities they form where they are. I have loved working as a barista in new conditions because of the opportunity to know people in local communities. I'd rather hang out with the locals then play at being the tourist, I want to know what people do where they are and I want to hang out with them there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to New Orleans, for what I thought would be a short time, in the summer between my junior and senior years of college. Looking to gain some "real world experience" and grow up a little, I ended up making the decision to stay out there. I lived in New Orleans for two years and never regretted my time or my life there. I grew up more in my first six months living in Nola than I had in three years of school.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am "technically" a yoga "teacher", I did my 200-hr Teacher Training, so if you want to do some sun salutations with me, I'd be happy to stretch and greet the sun with you. I am no teacher, but I do love to share what I love doing with others.
I also perform Reiki healing if you want a session to help you relax and unwind or destress. :)
