About Me
I'm a fun loving girl who smiles a lot! I believe a smile goes a very long way, a universal language spoken across the world! After a long spell of working I quit my job in Jan 2015, bought myself a backpack, packed an open mind & hit the road to see some of this beautiful world we live in.... its been the best decision I have ever made!I love meeting new people... locals and fellow travellers... connections is what's its all about! We live in a beautiful world and nothing should stop you exploring it!
I find myself on a journey of facing the fear and doing it anyway... life can change at any given moment, so its important to be thankful for & share what you have and create marvellous memories that you can re visit in your mind again & again!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couch surfing to meet new people, share stories, learn all about the place I'm visiting and to have a great time.... staying in or going out :)
I love chatting, laughing and understanding where people are coming from.... how their experiences have shaped their lives and learning about what makes them smile, laugh and cry. (deep conversations are optional!! ;)
Interests
I love exploring new places, making new connections, socialising... enjoying drinks, good food.... & hitting the dance floor when good tunes are played....or even when there's not a dance floor.... I'm there!I love challenging myself... getting outside of my comfort zone... be it physically or mentally. I love getting out into nature.... soaking in beautiful scenery... trekking, cycling, kayaking, scootering, boating... you get the idea!
I love photography.... that is capturing beautiful moments! I'm creative.... love wandering around galleries and markets.
I'm practising more and more yoga... after visiting an ashram in India I was amazed how much stronger and grounded I felt. I love going to new classes to practise, as I don't have much disciple to practise on my own... I think people share energy when practising in group... which I love being part of.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I consider hitting the "fuck it" button in my life last year to travel, pretty amazing.... it definitely felt amazing to take the leap....quitting my job, giving a load of my stuff away to friends, charity and the tip, re decorating and renting out my flat, and making the decision to spend all of my savings on creating new experiences and memories, instead of buying pointless possessions or buying a bigger house. My travelling so far has re instilled my faith in people and kindness.... everywhere that I've visited I've met so many lovely people... locals and fellow travellers!
I know its says one amazing thing... but here's a couple more!
Volunteering in Sri Lanka for a sea turtle project... living opposite a beautiful beach, living with a big group of great fellow volunteers.... getting to watch breathtaking sunsets ever night whilst releasing baby turtles into the sea!
Climbing to Railay Bay Lagoon in Thailand. I'd been told the climb to this beautiful location was a challenge.... so thought I'd go & test my climbing skills...I met people on the way saying that they had turned back because it was just too difficult... but others who had pushed forward & made it there inspired me of stories swimming in the lagoon.... a proud sense of achievement written all over their faces! It was without doubt one of the most scary things I have done... having to abseil down parts of the slippery rock face was tough.... but I dug deep & made it!!! The next challenge was climbing back up!! But I lived to tell the tale!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach... some classic dance moves & local North-East English local language ;)
Learn.... Spanish, your stories, food, drinks and experiences
Share... good times, good energy!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a fun, warm, outgoing personality! I'm a good guest... I cook, create cocktails & even clean up after! I love learning about new people.... sharing my experiences and stories and making new ones.
