Hi;)) My best friend, Amine and I are enthusiastic travellers and are new to the Couchsurfing community. Thus we are quite excited to be able to meet amazing people and have meaningful encounters. Little something about us, we are both studying in Erfurt, Germany - I do International Relations (politics) and she does Architecture. We are very passionate about the arts, exploring new cities and making the best out of our 20s and we do that through thoughtful and stimulating conversations which nourishes our souls and hopefully stays with us for a lifetime.

Amine and I go way back and have known each other since early childhood, finished school together and moved from our native city in germany to the current one where we are pursuing our studies. We are both very active people and still play basketball but in high school we did that competitively - now we just enjoy it with friends casually. About me (Christina), I have quite a diverse background, having Albanian and Greek influences growing up in Germany was very intriguing. I also lived for 8 months abroad in Asia, specifically South Korea and China, I always love sharing stories from my time from there!! About Amine, she has a Turkish background but grew up in Germany from which she likes to share insights of how it is to exist between two cultures. She has also spent some time abroad, specifically in Morocco, and loves to share some fascinating stories about the unique regions she lived in.

Well... we´re broke. Jokes aside - we truly believe that if people travel to other countries and stay in hostels all the time, they are missing the point of what it means to actually travel across boarders. Because the point is not just leaving your comfort place and exploring the touristic attractions in a new country, it is in fact more about blending ourselves into the new cultures, or at least trying our best to do so, in order to comprehend what other peoples daily-life might look like, in order to be more open-minded. Thats why we would appreciate to have a generous host, that can break for us the culture barrier and show us a glimpse of their world because each and every one of us is unique and interesting but what we lack is the genuine interest in taking the time to get in touch with locals in the places we visit.

Musica, film e libri

My favourite music genre is rnb and jazz and I am a HUGEEE film enthusiast, especially movies like Past lives and Perfect days are my favourite! I am always recording the experiences we make in other cities and countries but also daily life and like to cut my own videos

Amine likes hiphop and rnb and her favourite movies are Marty supreme, parasite and in general she loves romance movies or series. She also loves to sketch architecture and learns to sketch people now. Also a huge bookworm and a sucker for Russian poets like Dostoyevsky.
