Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about CS through family and wanted to get involved. It'll hopefully enable me to travelling all over the world, meet local people and to be able to get off the tourist track.

Interests

I grew up camping and hiking in the lake district and through this, climbed with my family. I continued to climb more regularly and competitively at university, where I study environmental science. I have always loved the environment, and more recently been interested in the science behind it, studying meteorology, environmental pollution and ecology during my degree.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled by campervan around the south island of New Zealand, during the winter, where we saw and hiked amazing mountains in the snow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I spent a year in Christchurch, New Zealand, working within the freshwater ecology department of the research agency; NIWA (National Institute of Water and Atmosphere), studying the population and behaviour of native NZ fish.
