About Me

I traveled full time for both work and play from 2011 to 2016 and continue to travel when I can, while being based of Los Angeles full time currently. I mostly stay in hotels and Airbnbs, but really enjoy exploring places I visit through the eyes of the locals and meeting up with Couchsurfing hosts has been a great way to do so!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures and customs from the locals around the world. I am looking to experience the day to day life in places that I visit, which I tend to do anyways when I travel, but CS has been a great additional way to make local friends.

Interests

Traveling, people, food, old customs & traditions, exploring places off the beaten path, local artists and live music, and petting cute fluffy creatures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge fan of Spotify. I discover new bands on there all the time.. Rock, indie, electronica, house, folk, singer-song writer, R&B, old school rap.. it just depends on my mood. Always open to hearing new artists. Checking out live shows is one of my favorite things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Kenya with one of my best friends to volunteer with the orphans in a slum near Nairobi in the spring of this year and it was such an eye opening experience. I have been to plenty of third world countries before, but this was a whole other level. Near death experiences and all.. 😳 I raised enough funds from friends and generous strangers to provide much needed sanitary & health supplies and food for the families (many single moms) of the Rift Valley refuge camp as well as place all 24 orphans at an orphanage we were assigned in Athi River into a private school so they have a better chance of improving their situation. I cherish these memories, both the traumatic and the beautiful as they are a reminder to live life to the fullest and be thankful for every single thing we have and might take for granted.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak Russian & English fluently and have built my own business since graduating from college that still allows me to travel and meet new people constantly, which I love! I enjoy listening to the stories of others and sharing my experiences as well! I have worked with many of Fortune 500 companies and would be happy to provide input on your business if asked over some local food & drinks. :) We can all learn something from each other.
