About Mes are always hard. I don't know what these little boxes want me to say. I could give you a list of things I like - or I could tell you about my past.

I love travel. All I've ever wanted to do since I was little was see the world.
I love photography. I grew up with a fear that I would forget the things I have seen, the places I have been, and that drove me to take pictures of everything.
I'm an animal lover. I cry when I see any sort of story about animals - whether it's sad or happy or funny. I have three cats now - I don't know where I would be without them.
As much as I'm a homebody when I'm home - I love going out and meeting people. I love attending festivals with friends or exploring downtown to find something new.
I crave music. I almost always have it playing. And the sound ranges - I listen to just about anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I have often found myself in the position of just wishing I could have that experience with new people. That a random person would come into my life - and we'd become the best of friends.
I might not live in the most exciting of cities - but being able to share with someone who might be traveling through - means the world to me.

Interests

I think I covered this in the About Me section - but my interests include travel, photography, animals, music. I also love to go hiking and would love to one day live close enough to water that I could watch the sun set over it. I want to also try and get into kayaking - I've never done it before - but it looks like so much fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love historical fiction and fantasy books. I've always been drawn to them! My all time favorite books are by Anne Bishop though - the Black Jewels Trilogy.

Music is harder - I have favorite bands - but since I am constantly listening to music - my tastes change from day to day... Blue October has always been a big one for me though - and Evans Blue... I always get a bit sentimental when I listen to them...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done... One day - two days after graduating high school - I packed up my car and drove to Texas. I didn't tell anyone that I was doing it. I didn't tell anyone where I was going - I just went. It was one of the most exciting things I have ever done in my life - and I am so proud of myself for going for it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have a lot to offer - but I would love to show someone who was interested how to dance. I used to do waltzing - it was so much fun to dress up and go to balls!

Otherwise I would love to offer a quiet home to relax in. Our home is a sanctuary for me - a place where I don't have to stress. I would like to offer that relaxation to another person as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would gladly share my love of cooking with another host. I've picked up so many little meals - that I would love to pass them along!
