I thrive on meeting new people!! I'm very bubbly and easy going. I love to do anything outside hiking, biking, climbing, SUPing, running , dancing in the rain, etc. Love travel and hearing about other peoples adventures, or really chatting about other peoples passions. I truly believe in trying anything once!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to host people but right now I'm renting a room from a family I used to nanny, so its unfortunately not my place, otherwise all would be welcome. But we can always catch coffee, go for an outdoor adventure, or just a drink!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENENCE

In my first Couchsurfing experience in Hong Kong, our host was so generous and friendly, I knew I wanted to be part of this community. Unfortunately I have lost contact with the host Miguel, so I will thank him for his kindness here! I have only had amazing experiences with all the people I have hosted and have been hosted by. I wish to continue meeting awesome people and sharing our world that is always getting smaller!! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Being a fine art teacher I'm really open to any cinematic experience, I like indie films, a chick-flick, documentaries are the bomb anything that makes me think or laugh!

I adore Music and Musicals. I love singing and having a song stuck in my head. I love how a song coming on the radio can change my entire mood. I like all genres: mainstream, Jazz, Techno, French, Brazilian, Ghanian, Indian, Celtic, and so much more.

I'm recently into self improvement books, I'm aware I'm a work in progress . One of my favorite writers is Miranda July, who happens to be one of my favorite contemporary artists!! I also really enjoy read about religions, they fascinate me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a participant in the Semester at Sea Spring 2012 Voyage. During which I circumnavigated the globe seeing Bahamas, Dominica, Brazil, Ghana, South Africa, Mauritius, India, Singapore, Viet Nam, China, and Japan in one college semester. It was by far the most amazing and beautiful thing I have done with my life up to this point. I could never thank the many faces and friends I have meet all over the world that have changed me in immeasurable ways. My biggest self accomplishment on the voyage was traveling China by myself for a week finding my way up the mountains of rural Lin'an ; where I stayed in a Buddhist monastery.

I want to think deeper, to meditate constantly, to cook better, to read faster, to always be willing to embarrass myself in the act of trying something new.
