Overview
About Me
I'm a student from Athens, who loves changing her surroundings every now and then (that's why I've been travelling like a maniac the past few years), with a good book in my right hand (recently also with my insta camera) and an empty left hand to grab opportunities in life. So, poetic, wasn't that! Haha!
I love all sort of arty things, my books, my wee flat in Athens, red wine -white during the summer, too- and film festivals. Passionate about film, been watching like crazy the past 5 years and still feel like I haven't seen anything from all the masterpieces that exist!
Ah! And before you continue reading my profile, I M P O R T A N T: For me CS is not a way of sex-travelling. If you don't understand or accept this, please don't bother me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling around the world can be really expensive for a 'humble' student and unfortunatelly I haven't met my personal Phileas Fogg to work for and take me with him to his trips. So, I'm still searching for him in the faces of all of you, dear couchsurfers.
What's the best way of spending your life, if not travelling?
(Latest question that trubles me.. Should I write a personalised tourist guide at some point? hm hm hm!)
Seriously, now. One of the most fascinating things I've done in my life is meeting people from all over the world, having a nice dinner with them and talk about absolutely everything! CS is just ideal!
Interests
Litterature, cinema, theatre, travelling --> I'm writing, again and again, the same stuff, huh?
Ok, let's try something more.
I used to cycle, but not since I moved to the centre of Athens. My new hobby is cinema and I am trying to learn as much as I can from it. I also write (wannabe journalist, I suppose) in a journalistic site about culture -and rarely about politics- and I also blog sometimes, more literately.
I love meeting interesting people that we can talk and talk and talk and learn learn.
Latest passion is also photography -black and white things especially. Too many Helmut Newton influences, I suppose. I've been twice to his museum in Berlin, simply amazing!

Music, Movies, and Books
Let's see. I like a lot of things, so..
MUSIC: indie, electronic, house, rock (oldies), also composers like Beethoven, Einaudi, Preisner and Cretan music. And Nick Cave.
MOVIES: I admire and adore the mind of David Lynch, Kurosawa, Burton, Aronofsky, Chan-wook Park, Kieslowski, Carax, bros Dardin, Kaurismäki and many many more! Lately into Japanese and German cinema, too.
BOOKS: I really regret that I'm not reading as often as I was a couple of years ago, but I'm trying to change that. Currently reading Roland Barthes’ A lover’s discourse and short stories by Yoko Ogawa.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taught literature in high school.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could show you the sightseeings in Athens and also teach you the Greek language. I have a huge balcony, so dinner is also on the menu!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Walks in Athens. Dinner. My company. Stories from the city!
