COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When visiting Phamukale, Turkey, we were invited by a streetvendor (she spoke only Turkish and bodylanguage)to come with our whole family for tea with her family later that day. What a delight. We spent a lovely couple of hours. For half an hour there was one man that had a very broken English and did some interpreting. That helped a lot. Even after he left we had a delightful time.
We have had many interestig people stay over with us or share a meal.
Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We went camping in Botswana on the Makgadigadi salt pans. When we first arrived there we stopped at 'n hill, covered with Baobab trees - Kubu Island. We were taken to the top, and as we crested, the most spectacular view of the barren, endless salt pan met my eyes....
Similar but different), Travelling in Turkey we visited Pamukale(cotton castles), which is difficult to describe- the view of that hill - seemingly cascades of white snow, into aquamarine pools- actually rockhard salts with salty pools scattered on the hill. The hillside covered with this white salts.
Listening to little Jackie Evancho singing those "big" songs - espescially the first time!
