My philosophy is that every day above ground in a good day.

I am a veteran surfer/host, who has missed the excitement of sharing culture, art and ideas between two individuals from different parts of the world. My husband, who had not had the opportunity to couch surf, is excited to join into the exchange! We are both artists, work full time Mon-Friday and live in a lively, hip neighborhood.

We've been married for almost two years, and were instant best friends upon meeting a few years ago. We have FOUR (yes, four) cat babies- Humphrey, Shy Guy, Schatze and Freya. In our spare time we like to explore our neighborhood, dine out at local restaurants, hang out with our fur babies and cook home-made, farm to table dinners at home.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing found me as an alternative and affordable way to travel vs. a hostel or hotel room back in 2011 during my time studying abroad in Rome. I was into the cultural exchange it provided, and how easy it seemed to make friends along the way! My first experience as a surfer was not the best, tho it did lead to a late night/early morning gallivanting across Paris I would have not other wise experienced. :-)

As a host, I really enjoyed meeting others, exchanging ideas/art/customs and most importantly lending a safe and comfortable environment to my guests. :-)

It has been quite a few years since I hosted, and am married now- but I still keep in touch with many previous surfers! My husband and I are looking to jump back in!

I have worked first hand with a famous, working artist in Rome as an assistant and watched his creative process unfold.

Played in the first major snowfall Rome had seen in 25 years.

Witnessed a Christmas comet in Frankfurt, Germany

Ran into friends from the States on the streets of Milan, Italy and spent the night with them chit chatting up members of our favorite band.

Walked around Paris by myself till 5 am to experience the rarity of a boisterous, beautiful city.
