My name is Christine, I'm a 37 year old bartender who enjoys the company of travelers, especially from other countries. I try to be open-minded, considerate, and easy-going in life. I am a life long learner who values wisdom above all else. Although I am not religious in any form, I am very tolerant of other peoples beliefs as long as they are respectful of my beliefs. I like to talk freely about my thoughts on various topics, which may cause some discomfort to sensitive or tightly wound individuals.

I am divorced without children, although I am still on good terms with my ex. At this point in my life, I feel too old for petty behavior and drama so I try to surround myself with positive people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet people from other places. This allows me to see/understand their perspective and thoughts on various issues. I genuinely like foreigners and learn from their cultural differences.

Interests

I love all things science. I also like to travel (obviously), play billiards, exciting people, history, hiking, yoga, goofy comedies and satires, wine, and I always strive to find time to spend with friends and family.

Music: Counting Crows, Blue October, Modest Mouse, Vampire Weekend, and similar alternative bands, as well as older Jazz and Blues, and anything with violins. My favorite book is Candide by Voltaire. Some of my favorite movies include Pandorum, Kingpin, The Big Lebowski , and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
