Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to travel the world, the entire world.
ABOUT ME
My family is my life. They are my biggest motivation and they have made me who I am today.
I am a proud Colombian, and an even prouder Paisa.
I am an easy going, laid back, and friendly person who loves to met new people, see new places, and learn new things. I am hard working, driven, positive, and live my life with passion.
I love kids and dogs. Especially my chug (chihuahua-pug).
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Everything happens for a reason. What is meant to be, will be, but you have to chase your dreams not just wait for them to happen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to couchsurf while I live out my dream of backpacking through South America. I also hope to host surfers once I have my own place!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never couchsurfed before, but I am very much looking forward to meeting amazing individuals that open up their homes to adventurous strangers like me. More importantly, I cannot wait to have amazing conversations with all of you. I have so much to learn.
Interests
What am I not interested in?
I am a very curious soul.
- dogs
- writing
- environment
- dining
- traveling
- backpacking
Music, Movies, and Books
I love documentaries, comedies, action movies, and I occasionally indulge in romantic chick flicks.
If you were to see my iPod you would see no common theme. I like all types of music from salsa, vallenatos, reggaeton, spanish rock, to rock, folk, pop, rap to house and trance music...and then even some mainstream tracks.
I have many favorite books, but most recently I have enjoyed pieces by Khaled Hosseini, Helena Viramontes, Cherrie Moraga, Gloria Anzaldua, Paulo Coelho, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Works by Junot Diaz are on my immediate To Do List.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every time I travel I find it to be an amazing experience. Not only is the physical space and environment breathtaking, but the people I meet and the conversations I remember make all of my past travel destinations, unforgettable experiences. These include Cuba, Israel, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Prague, and Ecuador, amongst others.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have learned about and have been actively involved in environmental justice, food justice, social justice, and farmworker and worker dignity issues. I would love to learn, teach, and continue these conversations with others.
Native Spanish speaker, conversational Italian, proficient computer skills and writing skills, which I would love to share with others.
