Overview
About Me
I am an adventurous, loving and fun woman.
I have lived in Colorado my entire life, I am truly in love with Colorado's beauty and endless outdoor activities.
I have recently retired from a career in the food industry. I started as a bag clerk and over 31 years through hard work and perseverance I retired as a store manager.
My life revolves around my two sons and my two beautiful granddaughters!!!
My free time finds me loving to spend more and more time with my granddaughters. I have also began to do more outreach work with homeless people and war veterans. I have found that the more time you spend listening to a person, the more you will learn about yourself and life in general.
My favorite activities are reading, hiking, swimming, biking, mountaineering and above all else COOKING :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After my son and nephew told me about Couchsurfing I was very intrigued by the idea. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new cultures and cuisines. My whole life I have wanted to travel the world, now that I have retired it has become a reality. I think the experience of staying with native local people has so many more exciting things to offer than just staying in some old hotel!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love old country western, especially Pasty Cline. My two favorites are Joan Armitrading and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I love rock and roll whether it be classic or current. Nathaniel Ratcliffe is climbing rapidly on my personal charts.
I'm currently reading, The Masked City, by Genevieve Cogman. I try to read at least 3 books a month if possible.
I go to comedy shows when I can and I enjoy movies and books that are funny, mysterious, based on true events and autobiographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went skydiving and I LOVED IT!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share, teach and learn cooking experiences and recipes. I'm even introducing my 4 year old granddaughter to simple recipes and she loves to help grandma. It also makes her more likely to eat what we cook, even veggies!
I also learn a lot about humankind by working with the elderly, homeless people and our war veterans. There is so much to glean from fellow man if we just lend an ear!
My heart is happy when I'm able to put a smile on someones face.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to share stories and experiences! I also would love to share recipes. I can also help with housekeeping chores.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Cuba, France, Germany, Iceland, Mexico, Puerto Rico
