About Me

I'm a 23-year-old medical student currently living in Berlin. I chose medicine out of a desire to help other people and to be in a position where I can actually have a positive impact on other peoples' lives and therefore this world (yes, I am aware that this sounds cheesy :D).

After school I traveled for a while in Central and Eastern Europe which is when I started using Couchsurfing and was very impressed by the kindness and open-mindedness of the people I met.

Besides traveling and meeting new people, the things that I love most are learning languages (currently working on Japanese), practicing yoga, singing in a choir and (at least before covid) volunteering in a nursing home. I've been vegan for 8 years now and I'm interested in health and diet as well as leading an environmentally-friendly lifestyle - just being aware of myself and the planet.

I realised that studying at uni means that you actually have to make an effort to still be able to do all the things you love but I am still always interested in learning new things but it's sometimes tough to find time for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that Couchsurfing is a great idea to get to know new people and ways of life. I'd rather get to know the locals of a city than stay in a fancy hotel. :) The thought of sharing just out of kindness and generosity is something that should be found more often in our world and I think that Couchsurfing is a great way to start. :)

As mentioned above, I am currently not in Berlin which is why I can't host anyone atm.
