About Me
Hello! After living in Thailand as a teacher the past 4 years, it's opened up my eyes to the world. Until then, I had limited traveling experience, and hadn't really known what the world was like. Now that I've stepped out of my comfort zone, walked the streets in the local neighborhoods, shared meals with the locals, I feel like I've only just begun.
I'm now staying with mom in my hometown, Cleveland, Ohio temporarily, until I go back out and volunteer for a year. I hope to continue living aboard, just not sure doing what. After being an elementary school teacher since 2005, I've finally decided to close that chapter and am ready for a change of pace.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I prefer to meet locals and share experiences together.
Interests
I get energized by new experiences, connecting with people, sharing those experiences and learning about the world. I'd say I live a well balanced lifestyle; one filled with fitness activities, yoga, and healthy clean eating. I love a good book and a soak in the tub, after a workout and morning yoga. If I could design my life, I'd volunteer around the world, working on organic farms, serving in bed and breakfasts, and teaching English to the under privileged.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
2016-Van/camped in Australia.
2015-When I was in CostaRica, I did the Tarzan rope swing! It was the most scariest, yet overwhelming feeling I've had! I conquered my fear of heights!
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you what I know.
Share my experiences thus far.
I'm open to learning anything; learn something new everyday right?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my cooking skills, my traveling experience, what I know of Thai and Spanish language, and what it's like teaching abroad. I also don't mind cleaning! (I'd consider myself to be relatively clean). I also would say I'm a pretty good smoothie maker ;)
