I'm Christine (she/her), 23 years old and I live in the south of Germany, near Stuttgart in a town called Tübingen.

I enjoy traveling, (political) activism, learning new languages, reading, going to the gym, tv shows, yoga and baking.

I love spending time with friends, with coffee dates being one of my favourite shared activities.

I do my best to fight (institutionalized) discrimination of any kind - sexism, racism, queerphobia, ableism etc. and do not tolerate any of that in my house, or anywhere else. The physical and mental wellbeing of myself and others is a priority of mine, and respectful discourse is non-negotiable.

I'm a responsible and considerate young woman and truly reliable, if I ever let you down (e.g. if I'm ever not on time), I will let you know in advance and it will only ever happen in difficult situations or emergencies, I promise. I love talking and sharing experiences, as well as learning, which is also why I'm doing my Master of Education degree in English and Political Science. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's important to help each other out and being able to offer travelers a place to stay or being offered a place to stay is perfect for low budget travelers like myself. Also we are one global community and we have to stick together! There is so much we can all learn from another and I don't ever want to stop trying and experiencing new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: film music, Adele, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Dion Yorkie, most mainstream music tbh (not a music expert by any means)

Books: I read a variety of books on political and societal issues (racism, feminism, mental health etc.), and I also love fantasy (with an optional dose of smut) and am very open to other genres, both fiction and non-fiction.
Some all-time favourites: If I Stay, Lord of the Rings, The Fault in Our Stars, Mortal Instruments (and any other Cassandra Clare book), A Court of Thorns and Roses, anything Tahereh Mafi, Throne of Glass, The Joy of Being Selfish, Am I Ugly?, etc.

Films: I'm not a big film person, but here are some that I've enjoyed in recent years - Little Women, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Into the Woods, Barbie, If I Stay, Still Alice, Narnia, The Fault in Our Stars, Super Mario Bros., etc.

TV shows: I'm a big TV show person! Shadowhunters, Good Trouble, The Fosters, The Crown, New Girl, Sex Education, Orange is the new Black, The Bold Type, Modern Family, The 100, Friends, Bridgerton, Pretty Little Liars, Reign, Suits, Scrubs, My Life with the Walter Boys, Once Upon a Time, etc.

Just one thing? Let me list a few... Working in beautiful Mongolia, getting stuck in New Zealand for 5 months because of Covid-19, studying in England, traveling to Korea, France, Poland, Italy, Spain, China,... meeting new people from all over the world, talking for hours,...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some German or English. We can try talking in French, Arabic or Mongolian, or we can bake something together. I love talking and sharing experiences and I'm willing to help out in any way I can - cooking, laundry, cleaning,... We can spend hours talking about politics, love, tv shows, life experiences, different school systems (I'm kind of into that😂), traveling,... about whatever you want really!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope we'll share our love for other countries and experiences, which will hopefully lead to some nice conversations! We can also practice some language skills and if you happen to be into baking, or need tips, I'm all here for that too!
Generally I'm open to cook together, or help with cleaning, laundry or other things around the house.
