ABOUT ME

My family is from Chile and my culture has been the greatest influence in my life. I am dedicated to helping the latino communtiy, specifically in regards to education. I hope to one day either become a teacher in an inner city school or an immigration lawyer. For now I am continuing my studies in German and Political Science at Duke University, but I will be studying at Freie Universitaet until this July.

Music and dancing are my life! I always have music playing and I am the type of person who is open to all music genres. I have been dancing since I could walk. When I was younger I was part of a dance troupe called Brisas de Chile; we performed traditional Chilean folk dance at events such as Chilean Independence day festivals. During high school I danced salsa and merengue, and although I am not currently on any dance teams, I try to get out and dance as much as I can. Salsa, merengue, and bachata are my favorite dance styles, but I also have experience in cha-cha,rumba,and tango.
