Journalist and Dutch language teacher, socialist, human rights activist. Foodie, book worm, cat-lover. My heart is floating somewhere in the triangle Rotterdam-Dublin-Palestine.

Without being religious I believe that all human beings are somehow connected. That makes us responsible for one another's well being: help out when we can, speak up against injustice. (and yes, I do practice what I preach)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few years back, I hosted several people in a short period of time and stayed in touch with some of them. I took a wee break. CS is enriching but intense.

Intereses

Politics, International relations, Palestine, cuisine, art, music, hiking, rollerblading, going places, seeing stuff, meeting people.

Música, películas y libros

To use an Eurocentric term, I like world music: Marcel Khalife, Fairouz, Kamilya Joubran, Nizar Rohana, Apo and the Apostles, bossa nova, fado, morna everything..! But also 80's pop, Irish Folk Rock and French chansons.

Algo increíble que he hecho

My first trip to the occupied Palestinian territories left a lasting impression. Saw awful stuff, met awesome people. If you feel Palestine is 'disputed' territory (it's under a brutal and illegal military occupation) and Israel's reign of terror legitimate defense, don't send your couch request. I'm more than willing to explain what's going on on the ground, if our basic standards re human rights are similar.
